Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child

For many people, Christmas time is characterized by the stress of buying presents and trying to fit in too much into their already too busy lives. Adults worry about how to pay the bills and get everything done in time. If we were to take away all the worry and stress and look at the Christmas season through the eyes of a child we would experience the magic of this special time of year. For children, seeing lights and decorated trees brings about a whimsical wonder that cannot be described. With little ones, everything old is new again. The wide-eyed wonder of a child at Christmas is a lesson in the wonder we should feel every day of our lives. It should amaze us that God would love us enough, in our sin, to send His only Son to this earth to die on our behalf. What wondrous love that was and is. Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of Lights, Scripture says. The ultimate gift is the gift of God’s Son. Let your child be an example to you this Christmas. Sing Christmas carols, marvel at the lights, enjoy baking and eating treats, and let the joy of Christ radiate from your heart. Merry Christmas!

Online giving day is TODAY! We need 100% participation from FCS families to reach our goal. Your student is coming home with a red bracelet on his/her wrist to remind you to go online and give today! Link in profile. 18,000 hearts were glued together in the last 36 hours for one of our exhibit installations! Hats off to our 50+ volunteers who made it happen. This installation captures the beauty of community, a compilation of unique individuals (i.e. hearts) coming together as a whole. We are all made by God, in His image, therefore each and every person is valuable. Imagine if we treated everyone with that in mind! Visit the exhibit next Thursday and Friday to see more. @oneschoolsresponse We’re a little over a week away for Foothill’s largest event of the year!
